You don''t want to do that buddy. When u are at the casino it can look like the dealers have a good time, get paid tips and get respect, but let me tell you it’s a rough ride. The pit bosses keep their eyes on you all the time and you are accountable for everything that goes wrong at your table, and sometimes for things on other tables! They have link to dealer schools at Only registered users can see links on this board! I know this is a bit of an old thread now, but i thought i would add to it anyway...
There are lots of places you can train as a dealer - where are you based?
Erik is right, it is tough going working as a dealer for a casino, however you can make good money and have a lot of fun working freelance and hiring yourself out for events and private poker functions and parties etc. _________________

I friend of mine worked as a dealer and beside the fact that the boss is watching you and you are resppnsible for almost everything that happens, the customers can be a real pain in the ass if they have bad luck because they will blame you, so be sure that you really want to do this. _________________ Life is like a game of poker: If you don't put any in the pot, there won't be any to take out. |

The safest way to become a dealer is in online casino. There are some online casinos which allow you to be a dealer if you don't want to be a player.
