I am a 3rd year mathmatics degree student and I just got back from my local casino called Gala in manchester. I took £200 with me and walked out with just over £7,800 which I won on roulette. As I was leaving I was aproached by the manager who took me to one side and basically said that I would be unable to return to the casino indefinitely so could I not attempt to. Does anyone know if they can do this.
Thanks |

If you won on roulette the casino would welcome you back with open arms since you cannot give yourself a mathematical edge in roulette under any circumstances. They can ban you for any reason tho... maybe they just don't like you. Most people don't like anything to do with math. If you want to report that casino, there are sites that keep "blacklists" of casinos which give bad service Only registered users can see links on this board! hi walt here in the States casinos are allowed to do that on the basis that they are "private clubs" and can allow, or not, anyone they choose. How exactly they can be considered a "private club" when they're open 24 hours a day to the public is beyond me but that's thee claim they make if you complain as they escort you to the door. If they have to call the police to get you to leave, the police will back them up on it too.
As far as I know, nobody has actually taken them to court over this so it may not actually hold up. I assume that the casino you were at would try something similar. You did get your money though, didn't you? That was yours, barred from the casino or not, and they have no right to it. If you didn't walk out with all that cash then you've got a hell of a law suit to hit them with. |
